Privacy Policy

1. Who operates ArtikelSense?
ArtikelSense is operated by Mehdi Heydari Tarzam, an individual based in Türkiye. For privacy questions or requests, email support@artikelsense.top.
2. Who can use the service?
ArtikelSense is intended for people aged 16 and older. The app does not ask for a date of birth or independently verify age. If you believe someone under 16 has provided information to ArtikelSense, contact us so we can review the request.
3. Information we process
Account and sign-in information
- For guest accounts, the app creates an installation identifier. The backend stores a one-way hash of it and an internal account identifier.
- If you use Google sign-in, we receive information needed to verify your identity, such as a provider account identifier and, when available, your name and email address. The backend stores one-way hashes of the provider identifier and email for account matching. It may store your Google display name. We do not receive or store your Google password.
- We may store your interface language, time zone, vocabulary level, reminder preference, and protected session-token records.
Learning information
We process learning activities, questions and answers, answer results, completed sessions, word and pattern progress, review state, and daily activity records. This information lets us provide feedback, save progress, select activities, and schedule reviews.
Device, network, and service-operation information
When the app or website connects to our services, the connection involves network information. For security and troubleshooting, the backend may process request metadata such as the route, method, response status, duration, correlation identifier, and user-agent information. Session records store a one-way hash of the source IP address; the raw address may also be processed transiently to route and protect the connection.
4. How we use information
- Create and secure guest and Google-linked accounts.
- Provide learning sessions, feedback, saved progress, and review scheduling.
- Remember available account preferences and reminder settings.
- Operate, troubleshoot, secure, and protect the service, including preventing abuse and investigating incidents.
- Meet applicable legal obligations and respond to valid legal requests.
We do not sell personal information. ArtikelSense currently launches free and without advertising. We do not currently use advertising identifiers or serve personalized ads. We will review applicable requirements and update this policy before introducing advertising, subscriptions, or optional measurement tools.
5. Google sign-in
Google sign-in is optional. If you choose it, Google verifies your identity and returns sign-in information to ArtikelSense. We use that information to authenticate you and associate your account with learning progress. Google's own services are governed by Google's terms and privacy policy.
6. Service providers and international processing
We use providers to host, store, secure, and operate ArtikelSense. The production database is hosted by Supabase in Ohio, United States, and the application API is hosted on Google Cloud. Google also provides optional sign-in. Resend sends account-deletion verification emails. Some website assets are served by third-party infrastructure. These providers may process connection or service information as needed to provide their services.
Information is processed outside Türkiye. We are still verifying the exact provider entities, processing locations, and international-transfer arrangements applicable to each service. This section needs confirmation before this policy is treated as final.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep account and learning information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion through the app's account controls or through our account-deletion page. The web request sends a time-limited email link; opening that link does not delete the account. Deletion requires a separate final confirmation.
After confirmed deletion, the backend deletes the live account and its account-linked learning records. A limited security audit record may remain without the deleted account link and with hashed subject data. Exact audit and infrastructure-log retention periods, and any provider-level recovery copies, are still being verified. We do not operate a separate backup process.
8. Your choices and rights
You may use ArtikelSense as a guest or choose Google sign-in. You may change available account preferences and request deletion. Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may also have rights to ask about, access, correct, delete, or object to processing of your personal information. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Contact support@artikelsense.top to make a request.
9. Security
We use measures designed to protect account and learning information, including hashed identifiers, access controls, and encrypted connections. No internet service can guarantee perfect security. Keep access to your device and Google account secure, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service or its data practices change. We will publish the current version with a revised date and provide notice in the app or by another reasonable method when appropriate. Material new processing will be reviewed before it begins.
